Ever since her red-carpet welcome as the 13th celebrity housemate, Ethel looked like she was having a blast bonding with the other celebrities. That's why it comes as a shock that behind the loud laughter and hilarious jokes, Ethel was not happy about some things. While taking a break from their tiring Shadow Play rehearsal, Ethel confessed to Mariel that something's bothering her. The Ultimate Pasaway opened her heart out to the BB Spy about the difficult tasks and unfair punishments that are almost driving her nuts. She confidently told Mariel that she finds some of Big Brother's rules irrational and unfair. She believed that some tasks have no use but to play on the housemates' minds and feelings. Ethel mentioned the punishment that Donald got because of Baron's laziness. Ethel thought that Kuya should have punished Baron because it was his fault in the first place. She also brought up the issue about her punishment because of her "whisper" violation. Ethel said that when she was punished, she felt like swearing for she felt she didn't violate any rule. However, Ethel chose to let the issue pass by. But what Ethel failed to realize was that, with her lapel and the cameras around, her confession was for everyone to hear. Kuya immediately called Ethel into the confession room.

• Life has certainly thrown a lot of trials towards Ethel's way at a very young age. Homeless and underprivileged, she served as the only parent of her siblings and their source of strength. She still remembers how they used to sleep on closed carinderias before and it awes her until now how they have survived those difficult times.
• At the age of 20, she worked in Japan just to provide for her family. Her sacrifices weren't in vain though because after her stint there, she was able to build their own house. Then after that a window opened for Ethel to join showbusiness.
• Being an instant hit since then, Ethel rise to stardom cost her to answering left and right controversies. One of which was her infamous and owned-up sex video scandal, with her then basketball player boyfriend Alex Crisano that circulated around the net and mobile phones. A true pasaway, she remembered to have waged a word war against her own family on Philippine TV, defending her then boyfriend against certain allegations.

Former cager Alex Crisano bluntly chastised ex-flame, comedienne Ethel Booba, for allegedly acting inappropriately and consequently coloring her "pasaway" image even more. "The people don't want the way she acts," Alex told Showbiz Central in a taped interview aired yesterday, June 24.

Alex then went on by saying that if Ethel demands respect from the public, she must take the initiative first by respecting herself. The burly ball player, who himself figured in a lot of controversies during his time with Ethel, is currently being linked to Baywalk Bodies member Palmolive Palma.

"I know Palmolive," admitted Alex nonchalantly. "We do go out. She's a good person." Palmolive, in a separate interview, confirmed that she and Alex are dating. She failed to mention though if they're going out exclusively and how frequently they see each other.

The two met in a bar where they chatted while having a few drinks. Palmolive narrated that they capped their first meeting by exchanging numbers, which later on developed into real friendship. "Sweet naman siya," is how Palmolive describes Alex. Sitting in as a studio guest at Showbiz Central, Ethel watched the entire Alex-Palmolive feature through a large TV monitor.

Not to be outdone, Ethel likewise answered questions, particularly on her rumored budding romance with stage actor Janvier Daily. "Bata pa siya," Ethel said. But she admitted that they're dating. Janvier, in an interview, seconded Ethel's claim that they're constantly seeing each other. "Lalaki lang naman ako," he vaguely replied on his relationship with the controversial comedienne.

With regard to Alex's take on Ethel's continuing notoriety—the most recent incident happened last June 18 at Decades Bar in Quezon City where Ethel got involved in a fracas with two women—the comedienne defended herself by saying: "Nagkakataon lang. Binastos naman kasi ako kesyo sinasabi na iba na naman daw ang lalaking kasama ko."

Despite all the troubles, Ethel claims that she's happy being single—at least for the moment. "Masaya ako kasi single ako," she said flamboyantly.But it's also obvious that she's inspired and perhaps in love, most probably because of Janvier, who was with her during the Decades Bar incident."I'm blooming now dahil sa bagong churva na nagpapaganda sa akin ngayon."

Inamin ni Ethel Booba na nasaktan siya sa mga pahayag ni Iya Villania, na parang may halong pandidiri, pagkatapos isiwalat ng comedienne sa radio program ni DJ Mo Twister na naka-one night stand niya ang boyfriend ni Iya na si Drew Arellano. Hindi raw lubusang maisip ni Ethel kung bakit tila nandidiri si Iya sa nasabing balita.

"Bakit siya mandidiri? Bakit, may sakit ba ako? Kung gusto niya turuan ko pa siya, e!" tila naghahamong pahayag ni Ethel. Lalo raw doble ang sakit na naramdaman ni Ethel sa isa pang pahayag ni Iya na edukadong tao raw si Drew kaya hindi raw basta-basta papatol ang kanyang boyfriend sa kung kani-kaninong babae.

"So lahat ba ng mga matatalino ay hindi puwedeng mag-sex? Bakit, kapag matalino ka ba di ka puwedeng makipag-sex? E, tao ka din, di ba? Lalo na kung lasing ka," rason ni Ethel.

Ayon kay Ethel, nangyari raw ang one-night stand nila ni Drew sa out-of-town taping ng GMA-7 sitcom nila noon na All Together Now sa Palawan. Dagdag pa niya, puwedeng magpatunay ang kanyang production assistant, make-up artists, at mga cameramen sa namagitan sa kanila ni Drew.

"Knowing nila dahil isang cottage lang ang ginamit namin," sabi ni Ethel. "Dingding lang naman ang pagitan, e. Saka may mga ebidensiya ako. Nasa akin ang brief niya, shorts, at sinturon. Pero 'yong brief, hindi ko na alam kung saan inilagay ng kapatid ko.

"Iyong belt, ginagamit ng kapatid ko hanggang ngayon, sobra! Kaya nga nang lumabas ang isyu ay sinabi ko sa kapatid ko na itago niya ‘yong belt dahil magngangawa ang mga umaapila."

Totoo ba na sa lahat ng mga celebrities na sinasabi niyang naka-one-night stand niya kabilang na sina Wendell Ramos, Andrew Wolff, Troy Montero, Jordan Herrera, Rich Herrera ay si Drew ang namumukod-tangi para kay Ethel?

"Doon lang sa naka-one-night stand ko, standout talaga si Drew, except kay Alex [Crisano, Ethel's ex-boyfriend]. Wala namang gagaling kay Alex, e. Gusto ko lang i-clear na nangyari ito noong wala pa kami ni Alex, long time ago pa ito."

Hindi naniniwala ang komedyana na kailangan maging maganda ang isang babae para ma-satisfy niya ang kanyang partner. "Hindi naman sa hitsura 'yon para makuha mo ang isang lalaki. Lalo na kung may sense of humor ka, makukuha mo na 'yong lalaki," sabi niya.

Ano naman ang nais niyang iparating ni Ethel kay Iya? Ayon kay Ethel, "Nagulat lang ako sa kanya, sa reaction niya na ganun. Sana inisip din niya na kung totoo 'yon, inisip din niya na babae rin ako. Dapat nga hindi na lang siya nag-react dahil nasaktan din ako.

"Alam ko that time, hindi pa sila, e, nali-link pa lang sila. Dapat hindi siya nag-react ng ganun dahil past na 'yon. Noon pa 'yon, hindi pa sila or sila na ba kaya siya nagagalit? Parang feeling ko nga na mag-on na sila kaya siya gigil na gigil sa akin."
